Conservation
The crow still continues to be considered a pest, though the damage that they do is greatly exaggerated. While it is true that corvids take wild bird eggs and young birds to feed their own young, domestic cats do far more damage to the songbird population by killing not only the young birds, but the breeding adults as well.
Farmers also continue to persecute crows for damaging their crops and although crows will take some seeds and grains, they are actually far more interested in the bugs that are brought to the surface after a field has been ploughed. Not to mention the bugs that are eating the crop itself – if you offer a captive crow the choice of grains or a bug, they will go for the bug each and every time!
So in actual fact, crows do far more good than harm!
